Clatskanie Baseball continued their spring break trip by playing Rogers High School JV (Arkansas). The Tigers jumped up to a 1-0 lead with an Alex McCallister triple, but struggled to find the strike zone, walking 13 while only allowing 7 hits. McCallister was 3-3 with an RBI Triple. The Tigers (2-3) completed their spring break trip with a game against Conifer High Sschool JV (Colorado).
The Tigers won their final game in Arizona 14-7 against Conifer JV. Cole Warren led the way at the plate, going two for four with a double, triple and two RBIs. Dustin Luquette was two for four with two RBIs. Carter Hudson got the win, pitching five innings. Hudson allowed four hits, four strikeouts and two walks.
Clatskanie baseball fell 18-8 at home on March 30 to Valley Catholic. The Valiants were up 10-0 in the fifth when the Tigers were able to get things going. The Tigers scored three runs in the fifth and five in the sixth to make it a two-run game in the seventh inning.
Unfortunately, defensive miscues plagued the Tigers all day and the Valiants were able to score eight runs in the seventh inning. Cole Warren, Caleb Warren and Miles Haas each had two hits for the Tigers. Mccallister took the loss for Clatskanie. The Tigers (3-4) travel to Blanchet Catholic on Friday.
