Noah Timothy Newman, 42 of Rainier, Oregon passed away on April 20, 2019 in Longview, Washington. He was born May 14, 1976 in San Diego, California. He moved to Clatskanie, Oregon when he was 15 to live with his grandmother Anna Effinger and Uncle Paul. Noah attended Clatskanie High School for a while but ended up getting his GED.
Noah was 19 when he met his fiancé Becky Davis on Feb. 23, 1996. They moved to Longview, Washington when he got a job with Chevron on Industrial Way. Shortly after starting his job with Chevron, Noah got into a car accident. He believed that one should always work hard and get the job done the first time and because of that, his job was still there for him when he recovered from the accident.
In the late 90’s, Noah started a job at the Cornerstone Restaurant in Rainier and at that time he never thought that he would go through three owners and still be working at the Cornerstone Café 20 plus years later. Noah had great friends there at the Cornerstone that he considered his family.
Noah could not have been happier and prouder the day he and Becky had their son, Maddex Noah Davis-Newman, on Oct. 28, 2005.
Noah really enjoyed life. He loved going camping with friends and family, enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, working on cars, golfing, cutting wood with his best buds, getting crazy on the jet skis, gold rockhounding, and most importantly spending time with his son, either riding a bike, shooting guns or simply just taking walks. Family meant everything to Noah.
Noah was a wonderful person with a big heart and was always the first person to lend you a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by so many; no one will ever be able to replace the “NOAHNATOR”.
A celebration of his life will be at 1 p.m. on Thurs., May 23, 2019, at the Alston’s Corner Assembly of God Church, 25272 Alston Rd., Rainier, Oregon. Pastor Steve Berry will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the NOAHNATOR Fund at the IN ROADS CREDIT UNION in Rainier next to the Cornerstone.
