The Rainier Jr. Sr. High School History Club is reaching out to the community for support to help them fundraise some upcoming project.
First, for those who would like to sponsor the club’s 10th Annual Rainier Revisited Living History Reenactment, a $20 donation from any individual, business, or organization will see them listed on the club’s advertising posters, flyers, and schedules sent out.
“We give them credit for helping the kids and their program,” History Club advisor Andrew Demko said. “They have been recognized three times by the National History Club, one of the top ten clubs in the nation, so that’s been really exciting.”
The RJSH will be portraying the year 1853.
There is also an ongoing magazine fundraiser that Demko said both the History Club and the Rho Kappa students are both participating in.
“That goes back into our kids’ programs and helps pay for honor chords, Rainier Revisited, and other activities, and every little bit helps,” Demko said. “It helps them buy uniforms, props, and everything else they need.”
To help the kids raise funds through magazines, citizens can visit: https://www.efundraising.com/RainierHistoryClub1111
At the website, you can purchase or renew subscriptions of your favorite magazines like People, All You, TIME, and Sports Illustrated, at up to 85 percent off. There are also exclusive offers on restauraunt.com eCertificates. Each time a purchase is made, the students will receive up to 40 percent of the proceeds.
“We just appreciate the community support and there’s been a lot of support out there,” Demko said. “The clubs really appreciate that.”
