Just before all the snow fell in Clatskanie, Aida Abraham took these photos of a break in the rain showers and a rainbow appearing over the city.

A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky, according to Wikipedia. It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.

Send us your Life in Clatskanie photos and we will share them with our viewers. Send photos to jruark@countrymedia.net.
