Bull Attack

Sheriff Brian Pixley said when EMS and CCSO arrived on scene, the victim was conscious and breathing but was not seriously injured.

One person has been hospitalized following an incident involving a bull.

According to Columbia County Sheriff Brian Pixley, deputies and an emergency medical team responded to the call at 8:25 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, of reports that a male had been attacked by a bull at Stewart Creek Road in the Clatskanie area.

Pixley said when EMS and CCSO arrived on scene, the victim was conscious and breathing but was not seriously injured. He did have some injuries that required him to be transported to the hospital. The victim was injured by his own bull and the bull was, and continued to be contained, as of late Tuesday afternoon.

Pixley said there is no threat to the public.

Other details about the incident, including the victim's name, had not been released as of late Tuesday, June 11.
