Clatskanie Festival

The Clatskanie Festival gears up for its fourth year.

Clatskanie’s Festival is coming back for its fourth year on the weekend of August 2.

According to Steve and Lori Sherman, the event is for “the community and neighboring cities to come together and let the light of hope shine as we celebrate with family and friends.”

The festival is hosted by both the American Legion Auxiliary Louis Larsen Unit #68 and Piercing Arrow Private School.

Highlighted events include free food on Friday night, a 5K Glow in the Dark run/walk, free movie in the park featuring Disney’s Christopher Robin, a pet parade, cookie contest, cake walk, Night Light parade with the “Grand Marshal” consisting of any and all Veterans and Auxiliary members, free swimming, over 30 vendors, lawn mower races, church service, memorial ceremony and more.

The parade coordinator is asking that there be no parking on Nehalem Street after 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, due to the Night Light parade.
