Readers ages 4-12 will explore all things space-related this summer as the Clatskanie Library presents “A Universe of Stories” during their summer library program.
The 2019 Summer Reading Program will run from June 26 through August 14, from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesdays.
This year's program promises to be out of this world, with activities that include listening to stories as well as a variety of space-related crafts and science and engineering experiments that will help children learn about the solar system and space exploration.
The programs features a special presentation about the Earth on July 10 by the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History, called “Our Place in Space.” And-- because the Clatskanie Library also loves its big kid readers, teens are invited to a camp out in the park on Tuesday July 16, to watch a movie under the full moon!
The Library is grateful to partner with Colvin's Pub and Grill who will provide meeting space for this year's program. Advance registration is required-- please stop by the library to register your child and receive more details about the program. All programs are free of charge.
The Clatskanie Library is located at 11 Lillich St. in Clatskanie.
